Welcome to the Mormon to medium podcast, where we'll talk about spirituality, the paranormal religion, and my journey going from Mormon to medium. I'm Nanette Wride. Thanks for listening. Now let's go have some fun.
Brad:Hello everybody. Welcome to the show. This is the Mormon to medium podcast. I'm here with Nan this morning.
Nannette:morning. Good morning.
Brad:And we have got an exciting announcement just in time for Christmas. So if you've been wondering what you should put on your Christmas list, we've finally got Nan's classes on the website.
Nannette:It is so exciting. I've had so many people reach out and a lot of my clients even reach out and ask when these classes are going to be taking place.
Brad:Yeah, she's been pimping them out for a while now and she's been doing all of the footwork on the back end to get things ready and squared away. She's got them all ready for people to be able to take and up on the website. So we're going to talk about what these classes look like and why they might be important because you know, face it, a lot of people hear this and they're like, well, what is this hooey wooey stuff and what. Could it do for me,
Nannette:It is not hooey wooey at all. You hear me talk about everyone is energy, right? We're 99 percent energy, 1 percent mass. So our cute bodies are 1 percent of us. It's pretty important for us to know about the 99 percent of us, right?
Brad:Right. About all that
Nannette:all that energy. So, what the classes are, is touch for health. It's for a layman to be able to balance their body. both muscles and energy.
Brad:So a layman, like from the book of Mormon. Not that one, no. What about Lemuel and Sam?
Nannette:I didn't like them.
Brad:not
Nannette:Okay. Sam was okay, but no,
Brad:No! Hey look, history is written by the victors. They might have been the ones who were really the victims here.
Nannette:no, just anyone can do this work. So Touched for Health was actually created by a chiropractor, um, and it's, it's 50 years old this, this next year, which is really, really exciting, but it is world wide. So people all over the world do
Brad:and doesn't it have foundations though, not just from 50 years, but in like Chinese medicine and acupressure, acupuncture type stuff, right?
Nannette:a lot of the balances are acupressure, so we don't use needles. You know, to be able to balance someone, but we use the pressure, on the meridians to be able to balance people. And so you have 14 meridians, you've heard of cheap before, right? Or yin and yang. Those are your meridians and they run through your fingertips, up your arms. Through every organ in the body and out the feet, the front of the body is the yin. So you've heard a yin and yang, the back of the body is the yang. So we balance both centers of energy to create balance in the body. And when you do that, the muscles that are related to those meridians, they relax. So if you're in fight or flight, they relax and the body takes a big, deep breath and you start to heal. And it's so miraculous. It's beautiful.
Brad:That is awesome. But I always thought my yang was in front.
Nannette:Yeah, you, you think so. You're so 14. It's called your Willie in front, honey.
Brad:So with the classes, if I just want to know what the hell this is all about, I saw that you have an intro on here.
Nannette:I do. I have an intro to touch for health. Um, and, and it's really two hours it's on zoom, so you can be anywhere and learn about it and kind of see what touch for health is about. Um, and you'll be provided a little bit, of balancing a little bit of understanding of how the muscles work and things like that. And we're going to do that on February 9th. Um, so right before we're going to be doing the touch for health classes. So if you want to get into all the classes and you'd also like to do the touch for health intro, you can do the intro for free if you buy all of the classes. Okay. But
Brad:but wait, there's more
Nannette:there's more, but if you have zero idea what touch for health is about, and you just want to know what it's about, you can get on the intro to touch for health and see if it resonates with your heart. And if it's something that you can use in your, with your family, um, touch for health can be used to balance you, your spouse, your family, um, your kids, your dog, like everyone, um, animals. All the things. There's also in touch for health. There are nine different stress balances that you get to experience. So if you have a stressed out life, there are tools that you will learn on how to de stress yourself, which is so cool. And nine different pain balances. So, um, It's really powerful stuff there. So if you are in pain, low back pain, you know, headaches, um, stomach pain, all those kinds of things, there's ways to not have the pain anymore.
Brad:anymore. But there are also levels in this too. Cause I noticed we've got several levels of classes that you've put up. Um, why would I take level one? And, and, and you know, you talked about, you've talked about why I would take level one, but why would I want to take level four? So
Nannette:So levels one and two, I teach together. Um, there are four days. Each section has to be 15 hours each. So level one and level two, each are 15, 15 hours each. Right? Um, and, and the whole idea is for you to be able to learn how to test muscles and what that feels like and what the muscles are. So you're going to be learning the muscles. Um, so on level one, you'll be learning 14 muscles and that one, I'm not even kidding you for the first, Four years of my energy balancing practice. I did a 14 muscle balance on people. That was all I did. I never used the rest of touch for health, honestly, which was so dumb because I went back and I relearned them. I'm like, I didn't remember how cool this was.
Brad:You're like, wait a minute, there is a
Nannette:There, there's so much. So in level two, you continue learning your muscles. you end up learning, I believe it's 23 muscles in those first two books, but you start also learning. I mean, each one of the muscles, some of them are big muscles, some are small, but you start learning the feel of those muscles. You learn pretests and you learn all the things to get the body ready to be able to talk to the body. So it's really, really cool.
Brad:No. Okay. You're going to have to explain, I think what you mean when you say talk to the body.
Nannette:Well, for example, um, let's say we're, we're dealing with your anterior deltoid. That's, that's a muscle up on the front part of your shoulder. And um, when we test that the arm is straight out kind of in a mummy position and I push down on that. If the muscle, if I push down on that for two seconds with two pounds of pressure, if I push down on that and it doesn't hold. It's not talking, right? So we want it to hold. And if it doesn't hold, we need to balance it. That means there's not energy going to that muscle and we need it to because that's your gallbladder meridian. So that there's lots of muscles that are along the gallbladder meridian or lots of muscles that are along the stomach meridian or the liver meridian or the small intestine. Like you have 14 meridians with different muscles.
Brad:this ties all into the whole beaver dam that we hear you talk about.
Nannette:Oh, totally. So a beaver dam is always going to be a trauma, an old belief system, or a trapped emotion that is in that river of energy that goes through your fingertips, through every organ in the body and out the feet. So if you imagine a cute little beaver coming along and building a dam, remember a dam is going to be cute. A trauma, an old belief system or a trapped emotion. If you have that in there, um, what we do is we talk to that muscle and we talk to the body and we find out what's going on and each one of those meridians have emotions that go with them. So, um, like contentment versus anxiety is in your stomach meridian. If you have a beaver down in your stomach meridian, you're experiencing contentment versus anxiety, tons of anxiety. I can guarantee you if I'm looking at somebody that has anxiety, I can guarantee you I can go. Test their stomach meridian muscles and they won't hold.
Brad:Really?
Nannette:Oh, a hundred percent, a hundred percent. Yeah. It's really, really cool. Once you learn how the body talks, it's like how interesting. So like the low back pain is all related to your fight or flight muscles in your hips. You have lots of muscles in your hips and in your legs. Um, you know how you fight, flight or freeze. Um, Um, if those muscles aren't working, it can cause extreme low back pain, but once you balance them, guess what goes away? It's really, really cool.
Brad:nice for a lot of
Nannette:A lot of folks, and you know, a lot of people
Brad:I get it a lot
Nannette:You do.
Brad:you're like, all right, let's go balance. You get on the table. Yeah. So our daughter was in a car crash and knew that a balance could help her heal quicker. So we asked her if she would like a balance and she said, yes, please. And so I was able to do a surrogate balance for her. So essentially I acted in her place
Nannette:So you pretend to be her basically. We ask your energy if it's okay for you to be her, right? But we balanced you first, right?
Brad:Yeah, so, so here's the thing. Nan's like, okay, we're gonna have to balance you because you've got some stuff that's going on that's not holding. And so she went through and then she showed me how everything was holding and we were good. And then I took Talia's place and pretended to be her. And And I flounced around like a little girl. Um, By
Nannette:the way, by the way, there is scientific proof that when you surrogate, um, the way that we surrogate, um, you actually change down to the cell level and the blood level. So when you became Talia, you literally down to the blood level became Talia. And so you feel all of her aches and pains. You feel all of her stuff. Your muscles act like her.
Brad:Yeah. So energetically I, I took over and surrogated for her. And when Nan did the tests again, none of the muscles held. It blew me away because I had literally like, she's like, all right, let's test this. And like five minutes before my arm held strong, there was no issues. And as soon as I started surrogating for Talia energetically, none of the muscles held. It. Was so crazy.
Nannette:It's a really, really cool work. You guys, um, being able to talk to the body and understand the language of the body and our bodies hold all of the memories. It holds all of them, all of the messages, all of the emotions, all the traumas. So we as humans, we're supposed to let those things pass through us and we're supposed to learn from it. But what we do is we hold it forever and ever and ever and it causes dis ease. Those beaver dams cause dis ease and if you've held it for a really long time, you can start to see things like fibromyalgia. You can start to see things like osteoporosis. A lot of people don't understand that when the body is in a trauma situation. It eats up its magnesium and when magnesium is an imbalance, the opposite of that magnesium in the body is calcium. So you will have an overabundance of calcium in the body when magnesium isn't balanced, but you bring magnesium back into balance and the calcium calms down and actually will dissolve and be the way it's supposed to be. So the body can heal itself if you give it what it needs. And sometimes it takes a little bit of time, um, but it'll a hundred percent heal itself. That's the way it's made.
Brad:Really cool. Yeah. The body's amazing. Now, I wanted to get back to the classes really quick though. Yeah. Yeah. You are telling me that the classes actually count for continuing education credits for nurses and chiropractors and
Nannette:chiropractors. They don't need continuing education. Chiropractors do do this work a lot and
Brad:do do?
Nannette:they do do. So a lot of chiropractors, um, do touch for health in their practices, which is really, really cool because, um, if you think about it, the skeletal system, um, they can crack all they want, but if the muscle isn't going to hold the adjustment in place. Why are you doing it? Do you know what I mean? So you've got to get the muscle to work with it first and then do the adjustment and then things will hold.
Brad:this is a really good complement to a chiropractic
Nannette:Oh, totally. And there's lots of people are worldwide that they do touch for health that are chiropractors, but lots of physical therapists do it. Um, massage therapist. So you've got massage therapists, physical therapists, um, also nurses. They can get CE credits. Um, Um, from the international, um, college
Brad:Oh, that's cool.
Nannette:which is really, really cool. Yeah. So for all of those hours that you're in class, you get the CE credits, um, which is a way, way of
Brad:done.
Nannette:It kind of, it kind of adds a big plus to it. You know,
Brad:Well, I think that's a, a really cool way to add the holistic medicine to what's, what's the
Nannette:all the, uh, I can't say it all. I can't say it. Allopathic medicine. Yes,
Brad:So yeah, that's a really good way to add the the holistic medicine to the allopathic medicine. And, you know, get them to blend a little bit by offering those CE
Nannette:And they really should go hand in hand and you know, when, like, let's say that, um, your kids aren't feeling well and, um, you really don't want to take him to the doctor or whatever. Um, you can always do a balance on them and it will speed healing because that, that energy will help heal the body and it will speed healing to the body and they'll get better faster.
Brad:get better
Nannette:There's always a balance for that. There's literally thousands of balances. It's the coolest
Brad:It's so funny because like anything that's going on, I'm like, oh my god, I'm getting a headache. Nana will look at me and go, there's a balance for that. I'm
Nannette:There is you.
Brad:balance shames me. You
Nannette:literally have five meridians that run through your head. So if you have it, if you have. Beaver down in one of those or two of those or three of those or whatever. You could get a headache. Go figure.
Brad:Like, and
Nannette:And it goes down your arms. Some of it goes down the middle of your chest and down into your feet. Like you literally are just made of energy and magic. And if you're having pain, you shouldn't, you need to balance. If you're having depression, you shouldn't. You need to balance like seriously. It's that easy.
Brad:It is that easy. Now beyond just the basic, here's how you do this stuff, you've got some really cool classes that are an add on, right? Little workshop classes.
Nannette:Well, let me, let me touch on, um, sections three and four, which are the more advanced. Yeah, they're the more advanced part of touch for health. So touch for health. Let me also say is in person because you have to have the hours of touch actual hands on. Um, so they're in person. You would have to come to St. George and get a hug from me.
Brad:And there's only,
Nannette:And there's only, there's going to be a limited amount of people. Okay. Thank you.
Brad:hug. This doesn't cross the lines. There are no laws that are broken.
Nannette:um, but sections three and four, additionally, will be held, so sections three and four are in May in the middle of me and they're four days as well then these balances or these classes, you get into the fun stuff. You get into learning how to do the corrections, um, and, and how to fix things. And it's so fun because there's so many ways to learn it. This is where you learn the stress balances and the, the pain corrections and all of these really, really fun ones. And you're just gonna. Oh, they're gold. They're absolute gold. Um, love them, but you have to, you have to learn the muscles before you learn how and where the meridians are before you learn how to actually balance those muscles and work with the meridians and be able to have anything make sense. So it is baby steps, but such a fun class. And, um, I can't wait to teach it.
Brad:That's awesome. And then you've got, like I said, I was alluding to some additional mini classes that sound really cool. Like you've got a, uh, kinesiology for kids.
Nannette:Yes. So, um, a lot of times kids, especially right before school, you know, they're coming off of summer break and they're getting ready to go to school and they have ants in their pants and you can't get them to settle down. Um, you can always do a complete balance on them or find out what their bodies need. Also before tests or, um, if they're in, um, athletics, um, you can also help.
Brad:them do better in all their sports and things. Um,
Nannette:if they have an injury, um, there's a, there's a balance for the hats, there's literally a balance for everything. Um, I think I, I've mentioned before when I went to my instructor training for touch for help, that I had hurt my foot and, and it turned purple and it was big and swollen and I couldn't walk on it and it was, is very painful. And, um, that evening I Got a balance by one of the students and literally before my eyes, I'm not kidding. And this is no exaggeration before my eyes, the bruising went away. The swelling went away. It felt a little tight in there, but that was about all. And the pain went away and I was able to walk on my foot. And by the next day, I had zero issue with it at all. It was like it never happened. So the body will heal itself if you know how to balance it. And these are the things you learn in touch for help. So with, with the kids balances, you learn how to balance your kids, um, which is magic. I would love to have known how to balance my five kids, you know, when they were sick or they had quote unquote ADHD that they didn't have, or like so many things in my, my kids played sports. They played football and baseball and soccer and.
Brad:you imagine the kid being like, I'm sick today, mom.
Nannette:Let's do a balance. You're going to school. Bye.
Brad:Going to school.
Nannette:Exactly. And then we also have a class that is to learn to balance your pets.
Brad:the one I'm really excited about. I think that's going to be so cool.
Nannette:Yeah, it's really, really neat. I've been able to balance lots of dogs. Um, and it's, it's really cool with the animal's body will tell us about what's going on and it's, I've had it backed up by them taking their animal to the vet and being told the exact same thing except for the animal gets better really fast.
Brad:Because you move that energy and take away the beaver dams. Yeah. Yes,
Nannette:Yes, exactly. It's, it's miraculous work. That's all I can say. And I will do this till the day I
Brad:I die. Well, and the kids and the pets are both through Zoom, so people can take those from anywhere
Nannette:Anywhere in the world. Yeah. And there isn't a limit on those classes. There is a limit on the in-person classes because, I mean, face it. Our building is just so big
Brad:Right. Well, and you're just one instructor,
Nannette:I'm one
Brad:want to make sure people get enough individual attention and time. Where should we send people to go to if they want to see these classes and sign up for them? If
Nannette:you would like to see these classes and know what they entail, um, go to zenergysage, Z E N E R G Y S A G E. com. zenergysage.Com. And when you open that page, there's a little plus sign on that first page. Click that and it'll go down to classes and that'll send you right where you need to go. And just FYI, If you sign up for, um, touch for health one and two, and you sign up for three and four, you'll save 300. So if you buy them as a package, but if you're not really sure and you just want to take one and two, that's okay too. I don't offer them by themselves though yet. So
Brad:be really
Nannette:it'll be really fun.
Brad:it should be really cool. I'm excited to see how this pans out and I'm really so proud of you for all the work you put in to get these classes up and going and ready to teach. I think it's amazing that you want to share what you can do with people. You're welcome.
Nannette:been a lot of work.
Brad:I know it has, so it's going to be awesome to be able to do that.
Nannette:You know, I, um, I came to the realization that I can only balance so many people a day myself and I just want to share this work with everybody because everybody should be doing this. It should be in your medicine chest and your first aid kit. and if you don't have it, you have to have it. But I realized that if I can teach other people to do this work, they can hand it down to their children and so on and so forth. And it kind of grows like a Faberge commercial, you know,
Brad:Like a Fabergé commercial. A Fabergé commercial.
Nannette:that I'm showing my age,
Brad:You're, you're going to have to fill me in on that one because I don't understand the
Nannette:And they told two friends and they told two friends and so on and so on and so on.
Brad:and so on. Got it. Yeah. I thought that was like Utah multi level marketing. Yeah. This is not
Nannette:Yeah. This is not multi level marketing, but oh my gosh, it is miraculous. I will tell you that and, um, I always say this, but this is my quote. I stand in reverent awe of the body and the soul. When you get to do this work, it is just shocking every single time when things balance and they go back to being normal. I've seen so many people that have been in pain for so long and they get a balance and all of a sudden they're not in pain and they're shocked and so am I. But I mean, I see this all the time, but it's like, Oh my gosh, it did it again and again and again. Literally thousands of times, like, so cool.
Brad:Well, I, I think it's really cool the way you put it. It's something people should have in their first aid kits. It's a skill like CPR that is so useful and I'm so happy you do it. Thank you Nan for all the time you've put into learning this.
Nannette:Thank you, babe, for letting me do it. Uh,
Brad:does.
Nannette:learn the language of your body. It's really important to learn who you are. Um, once you do that, you also start to step into your own spirituality, which I love. So
Brad:Perfect. Thank you so much, everyone. We'll see you.
Nannette:on the other side of the veil.
